The insane electrician who wired my house 20 years ago hard wired the drop-in oven through a junction box. Now that I'm replacing the range, I have to remove the junction box and wire a standard, 3-prong range outlet. It's not rocket science, but you may learn something. Here I install a 240 V outlet and a 50 amp breaker in my home workshop. I needed this for a new welder that I recently acquired. I was surprised to find a receptacle and conduit with wire already to go. This made it very easy.
