I recently bought a black Dakota waffle knit thermal top for my EDC bag. It appears to not be as warm as the one I bought from MEC, but it will still go well under a shirt or over a t-shirt. It is 59% cotton, which is a bit of a concern - you don't want to wear cotton if you're out in a survival situation. If you pick it up on sale for $20 or less - I will consider it a good deal. 59% Cotton, 39% Polyester, 2% Spandex This will go well in my 5.11 Tactical Rush MOAB 10 everyday carry bag.
